In-person lessons take place at our home in West Laurel, Maryland, which is conveniently situated off of Exit 33B of I-95 or the MD-198 Exit of US-29.
At a free introductory lesson we will assess your child's abilities and strengths, and then work with the parent(s) to develop a plan to help the student progress rapidly. For younger students, we ask that a parent or guardian be present at all lessons and take notes. Though it is our job as teachers to make the student self-sufficient, the younger the child the more parental supervision they will need to practice correctly at home.
We use traditional violin methods and studies, combined with ear training exercises and active listening to build overall musicianship.
